Trou-Mother of the Bride, Madhu Jain: The Wedding Royale, Part 3

If you loved Part 1 and Part 2 of the Wedding Royale series, you’re in luck, because we are back with the third and final installment!

Looking at Aashana, I’m sure I’m not the only one who wondered where she got those genes from. One look at her mother’s pictures, and I didn’t need to wonder anymore.

Mrs. Jain set a fine a example for all the Mothers-of-Brides out there, with her elegant style statements. She knocked it out of the park by making sure she followed the top 3 MoB (Mother of Bride, hello!) style commandments, which are:

1. Don’t steal the Bride’s spotlight!
By ensuring her outfits were not similar in colour or style to Aashana’s, she let her daughter have her moment on her special day(s).

2. Do dress age appropriate!
Sure, age is just a number, but there’s something to be said for skimpy dresses when your daughter is in a cocktail gown…so don’t wear something that even your daughter (or daughter in law) wouldn’t dream of wearing. Which is why I love Mrs. Jain’s beige suit choice for the Cocktail.  I also loved how she kept changing it up with her saree and lehenga choices. They really helped her up the sophistication quotient without making her look frumpy. That Yellow and Peach saree is just gorgeous, don’t you think?

3. Do coordinate outfits with your better half!
Your daughter is just getting started but you’ve been at this for years, so you should know better. Mr and Mrs. Jain sure did! But before I continue, I must clarify – when I say coordinate, I don’t mean you should match for outfits shade for shade. You should complement one another, especially because there are going to be tons of photos of you together, and you really don’t want to be looking back and regretting his striped tie and your busy saree and his jarring pocket square and..stop.

So take a cue from the Jains. Notice how Mr. Jain’s Green sherwani sets off Mrs. Jain’s Emerald lehenga at the wedding? And the tones of golden at the Bling Night? They sure know what they’re doing.

So here’s a big thank you to Mrs. Jain for showing us how it’s done!

And an even bigger thank you to our readers for following the Wedding Royale series, I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!!! Will you please leave comments below, letting me know what you thought?

Love you too ♥
